TechRadar Posts Answers for Connections #1234, Strands #968 and Quordle #1737

TechRadar posted answers and hints for NYT Connections #1234, Strands #968 and Quordle #1737 on Oct. 27, 2026.

For Connections #1234, TechRadar reported the yellow group was MESS (WITH), made up of FIDDLE, MEDDLE, TINKER and TRIFLE. The green group was PARTS OF THE EAR: ANVIL, CANAL, DRUM and STIRRUP. The blue group was a set of words ending in BELL, with DIVING, JINGLE, LIBERTY and TACO, while the purple group was a set of words beginning with BELL, with BOTTOMS, JAR, PEPPER and TOWER. TechRadar rated the puzzle hard and said the writer finished with three mistakes, after taking four guesses to complete the BELL-ending group because TINKER kept being included.

For Strands #968, the theme was 'Who ya gonna call?' and the answers were ANTS, RATS, MICE, COCKROACHES, TICKS and TERMITES. The spangram was EXTERMINATOR, a 12-letter word that touched the left and right sides of the board on the fourth row, according to TechRadar. The article rated the puzzle hard and said the writer used one hint, having first thought the theme pointed to Ghostbusters before a hint produced ANTS and RATS made the household-pest category clear.

Quordle #1737 had ANKLE, HAVOC, SULKY and WHITE as its four answers. TechRadar's hints said the puzzle used five different standard vowels, had no repeated letters, did not contain Q, Z, X or J, and had no two answers starting with the same letter; the starting letters were A, H, S and W. The Daily Sequence answers for the same day were SPRAY, SHELF, PLATE and HEDGE. TechRadar described the main game as a tricky five-vowel puzzle and said the letter V unlocked the guess for HAVOC after other combinations with C, H, O and A were ruled out.

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four, with up to four mistakes allowed. Strands asks players to find theme words and a spangram in a letter grid, and Quordle asks players to solve four Wordle-style words at once. The TechRadar articles also linked to the previous day's puzzles for each game.
