For Quordle #1700, TechRadar's hints said the puzzle contains four different standard vowels, no repeated letters, and none of Q, Z, X or J. None of the four answers begins with the same letter; the starting letters are D, L, G and R. The answers are DERBY, LIMBO, GAWKY and REIGN. For the Quordle Daily Sequence, also game #1700, the answers are SKULL, MADLY, PRIOR and FLACK. TechRadar's puzzle coverage also included pointers to its Wordle, Connections and Quordle pages, and the Quordle article noted that the game has continued for more than 1,500 puzzles since its early run as a Wordle alternative. The Connections guide explained that the game asks players to group 16 words into four categories of four, with up to four mistakes allowed, while the Strands guide described it as a New York Times word game playable on the NYT Games site on desktop or mobile. The articles included hint sections before the answers and spoiler warnings for readers who did not want to see the solutions.
