TechRadar Publishes Oct. 25 Answers for Connections, Strands and Quordle

TechRadar posted Oct. 25 answers for Connections #1232, Strands #966 and Quordle #1735, plus Daily Sequence solutions.

TechRadar said a new puzzle appears at midnight each day for a user's time zone, meaning some players are working on 'today's game' while others are still on 'yesterday's.' The guides separated hints from answers and included spoiler warnings before the solutions.

For Connections #1232, the four groups were Steal, Pasta Shapes, Fictional Toms and Things That Can Be Snapped. The yellow group contained BOOST, PALM, POCKET and SWIPE; the green group had BOW TIE, ELBOW, SHELL and WAGON WHEEL; the blue group listed RIPLEY, SAWYER, SWIFT and THUMB; and the purple group had FINGERS, FOOTBALL, GLOW STICK and RUBBER BAND. TechRadar's reviewer rated the puzzle Hard and reported three mistakes, saying the pasta and snapping categories were difficult and that unfamiliarity with American football snap terminology added to the challenge. Connections asks players to sort words into four groups of four and allows up to four mistakes.

For Strands #966, the theme was 'Something to build on.' The answers were SCAFFOLDING, FRAMEWORK, STRUCTURE and SKELETON, with FOUNDATIONS as the spangram. TechRadar said the spangram had 11 letters. The reviewer rated the puzzle Easy and recorded a perfect score, saying FOUNDATIONS was found as a right-to-left, bottom-to-bottom entry and calling it the reviewer's 113th Spangram First.

For Quordle #1735, the four answers were RAINY, BUSED, PROXY and UNDID. The guide said the puzzle had five different standard vowels, one answer with a repeated letter, at least one of Q, Z, X or J, and starting letters R, B, P and U. The same guide listed FLUTE, TALLY, FUZZY and BATHE as the answers to the Daily Sequence for game #1735. TechRadar's reviewer said the standout solve was PROXY, reached after narrowing the possible words with R and O in the second and third positions and a final Y.
