TechRadar reveals answers for August 15 Quordle, Strands, and Connections puzzles
TechRadar has published hints and answers for Saturday, August 15's Quordle #1664, NYT Strands #895, and NYT Connections #1161.
For Quordle #1664, the answers are RIDER, MOLDY, MEALY, and LYMPH. The hints indicated that the puzzle contained four different vowels, one answer with a repeated letter, no uncommon letters Q, Z, X or J, and two answers starting with the same letter. The starting letters were R, M, M, and L. The Daily Sequence answers for game #1664 were FIBRE, JUMPY, LATHE, and LIVER.
In NYT Strands #895, the theme was "Sacred space." The answers included PULPIT, BIBLE, ALTAR, HYMNAL, CANDLES, and LECTERN, with the spangram being INCHURCH. The author rated the puzzle as easy and gave a perfect score.
NYT Connections #1161 featured the words GRINCH, BEANSTALK, STAGE, LANYARD, HIGHTAIL, LEG, SOUNDTRACK, HOTFOOT, BEAT, STRETCH, FRIED, CHAMOMILE, SPENT, EYESHADOW, PHASE, and WORN OUT. The groups were: EXHAUSTED (BEAT, FRIED, SPENT, WORN OUT), SEGMENT (LEG, PHASE, STAGE, STRETCH), ENDING IN UNITS OF LENGTH (CHAMOMILE, GRINCH, HOTFOOT, LANYARD), and ENDING IN SYNONYMS FOR FOLLOW SECRETLY (BEANSTALK, EYESHADOW, HIGHTAIL, SOUNDTRACK). The author rated the difficulty as easy and noted he missed the purple group.
TechRadar noted that new puzzles appear at midnight each day, so players in different time zones may be playing different days' games. The site also provided a list of the past 20 Quordle answers, including game #1663 from Friday, August 14. These word games are available on their respective platforms, with Connections and Strands playable on the NYT Games site.
