TechRadar Says Ninja Luxe DualBrew System Remains Versatile as Amazon Cuts Price to £169.99
TechRadar still rates the Ninja Luxe DualBrew System highly a year later, and Amazon has cut its price to £169.99.
Ninja is best known for air fryers and smoothie machines, but it also makes coffee makers, TechRadar said. The reviewer's favorite part of the DualBrew System is the drip coffee maker on the left side. It has two filter baskets for choosing brew size, a timer, and a smart hotplate that keeps drinks hot without stewing them. The reviewer said this worked much better than the insulated carafes used by some premium coffee makers, naming Fellow Aiden.
The espresso side uses coffee pods. TechRadar said it uses Nespresso Original-style capsules rather than Nespresso Vertuo, so users are not tied to Nespresso's own roasts and blends. Nestlé no longer owns the patent to Original pods, the review said, allowing even small producers to package coffee in them. The reviewer bought pods from a local roaster and said the coffee tasted almost as good as brewing it the old-fashioned way.
The reviewer also highlighted design features. If a user does not want a full carafe, the jug can be removed to reveal a fold-down drip tray for a regular or travel mug. The machine has a drip-stop valve to prevent coffee from splashing onto the hotplate, and the drip tray height can be adjusted for cups ranging from a tiny espresso cup to a large mug.
The part the reviewer did not love was the fold-out milk frother, which TechRadar described as a rotating electric whisk. It does not heat milk like a steam wand, so users need to follow the recipe guide attached to the side of the machine, which explains how long to microwave and whisk milk for different drinks.
TechRadar said the £169.99 Amazon price is £80 off ahead of the October Amazon Prime Day sale. In the US, the DualBrew system has not received a good Prime Day discount, the publication said; instead, the Ninja Luxe Café Premier is $100 off. That model is the original version of the Luxe Café, without a tamping lever on the side, TechRadar said.
TechRadar's review concluded that the DualBrew System can prepare drip coffee and quick espresso and called it one of the most versatile coffee makers its reviewer has tested. The publication also pointed readers to its full review and to its roundup of three De'Longhi coffee makers and their Prime Day deals.
