TECNO Releases Film on '100 Portraits of Becoming' With Angélica Dass
TECNO has released a film introducing '100 Portraits of Becoming,' a two-year global portrait project with Angélica Dass that began in Kenya and is planned across five countries.
The film, produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions as branded content, follows personal journeys that show how people are navigating today’s changing world, finding their own paths, shaping new possibilities and imagining who they want to become. It also shows Dass taking portrait photographs with the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G.
TECNO said the project builds on its philosophy of inclusive imaging technology. Its Universal Tone technology seeks to represent the beauty of different skin tones and human diversity fairly, while Dass’s portrait work has long challenged the labels and assumptions through which people see others. The film explores the shared vision behind the collaboration between TECNO and Dass.
Both TECNO and Dass bring a shared belief to “100 Portraits of Becoming”: that being seen is about more than appearance and also means being understood for who one is. The project is planned to continue across five countries after its start in Kenya.
