Tencent Hunyuan Releases Hy Image3.5 Preview, WorkRally Opens Two-Week Free Access

WorkRally is Tencent Video’s first industrial-grade AI platform for premium content production. It covers a full chain from script analysis and storyboard generation to content production, asset management and team collaboration, and has three core capabilities: an expert-level Agent, an S+ film and animation skill library, and an intelligent pipeline. It has developed three versions for AI comic dramas, professional film and television, and premium animation. The integration allows the model to be used directly for concept design, series storyboards and film and television material generation, connected with the platform’s asset management and version iteration functions.

Creators can register or log in with WeChat or a phone number to call the model. The platform offers three paths: on the homepage “Infinite Canvas,” a smart director generates images directly; after creating a new canvas, users can select Hy Image3.5 preview at the image generation node to repeatedly refine a single shot; or through the series workflow, they can call the model when generating assets and storyboards in batches from a script. The three paths correspond to rapid experimentation, single-shot refinement and full-episode mass production, covering the main creation stages from concept design to final storyboard.

On Sept. 20, Tencent Video launched the live-action AI premium drama Xingbiao, produced by Tencent Video and co-produced by Biyu Juli. The drama combines live-action shooting and AI generation. Its storyboard generation, the fusion of live-action footage and generated content, and multi-version shot iteration were completed on WorkRally.

Hy Image3.5 preview is a cost-effective professional image generation model. In blind tests by hundreds of professional creators, its capabilities improved by about 30 percent compared with Hy Image3.0. It supports text-to-image and image-to-image generation, allows up to five images to be uploaded as references at a time, and outputs at up to 2K resolution. It improves text rendering and layout, realism and style expressiveness, and editing consistency. On the cost side, the Tencent Cloud API price for 2K images is 0.15 yuan per image, and only output images are charged. During the free trial, calls to the model on WorkRally are not billed separately.

During the research and development of Hy Image3.5 preview, WorkRally’s product and algorithm teams also took part in deep co-building. They made customized upgrades for WorkRally’s professional scenarios, including series storyboards, film and television materials, and character and scene design, working from data and professional evaluation. This pushed the model’s tuning in aesthetics and reference editing consistency, making generated results fit real production scenarios. Based on the new base model, WorkRally also developed several film and television image features, including multi-camera image generation, image relighting, aperture adjustment and visual referential editing.

WorkRally’s capabilities come from Tencent Video’s own content production practice, according to the article. The S+ film and animation skill library accumulated aesthetic experience from years of premium series and animation production, while the intelligent pipeline addresses problems from frontline production such as unstable generation, broken shot logic and scattered assets. “AI is moving deeper into creative development, visual preview, concept design, style exploration, post-production assistance and promotional material generation, gradually turning high-threshold technical capabilities into tools and processes; what determines the long-term value of content remains characters, relationships, worldview and emotional connection,” the WorkRally product head said.

Separately, overseas AI creation tool OnSolo also integrated Hy Image 3.5 and opened a two-week limited free period for members. OnSolo focuses on overseas short dramas, animation, professional series and interactive film, game and FMV projects. It supports one-stop production from inspiration to script, character design, storyboard and final film. The new model further improves character consistency, text rendering and single-element refinement. Registration allows free use, and members can use it without limits, lowering the threshold for individuals and independent teams from creation to overseas distribution.
