The Northumbria Mysteries to launch Oct. 23 on BBC One and iPlayer
BBC's The Northumbria Mysteries debuts Oct. 23 on BBC One and iPlayer; free UK stream only, per TechRadar.
TechRadar reports that eight episodes have been announced so far, airing in the afternoons in Britain. The first four episodes will be released on BBC iPlayer on Oct. 23, the same day the linear broadcast begins on BBC One; the outlet says the series airs on Fridays at 2 p.m. BST.
Viewers in the UK can watch for free on BBC iPlayer, but TechRadar says an account registered with a UK postcode and a valid TV licence are required. The show is also available on the free-to-air channel BBC One.
Outside the UK, the drama is not yet available on television or streaming in the United States, Canada or Australia, according to the report. TechRadar says viewers from the UK who are traveling can use a VPN to access BBC iPlayer, provided doing so does not breach broadcaster terms and conditions. The outlet adds that it tests and reviews VPN services for legal recreational uses and does not endorse pirated content.
Alongside Green as Joe Ruby, White as DI Rose O'Connell and Singh as DS Raj Singh, the cast includes Simon Callow as the Prior, Father David; Chris Gascoyne as 'Ace' Dawson; Damola Adelaja as Brother Christopher Akintola; and Alex Croft as Brother Mark Bancroft, TechRadar reports. Craig Pearson is also listed.
