The Verge Installer No. 144 Features Resident Evil, Steam Frame and Fire Emblem

Valve's Steam Frame, initially supposed to launch in early 2026, is finally available and starts at $1,059. In Sean Hollister's review for The Verge, the headset appeared to be a fun way to play VR and flatscreen games when not dealing with bugs and general instability. Marvel's Wolverine, Insomniac's latest superhero game, is not getting the same rave reviews as the studio's Spider-Man games. The Verge's Andrew Webster praised it as a straightforward action game but said its story ends up being "largely forgettable." Hisense's RoamView has a 32-inch 4K touchscreen and a 10-hour battery, and it can be removed from its wheeled stand for desk use. It costs $1,199.

The newsletter also featured game developer Dan Dilorio, who develops games under the alias TrampolineTales. Earlier this year, he released What's the Password?, a game that tasks players with solving a series of tricky four-digit codes; it is out now on PC, iOS and Android and can be finished in a couple of hours. He also mentioned Omelet You Cook, a score-based roguelike deckbuilder.
