TOTVS launches LYNN AI foundation, prepares infrastructure-as-a-service push
巴西企业软件公司 TOTVS 推出名为 LYNN 的 AI 基础层,并筹备向客户提供基础设施即服务,戴尔科技正与其评估联合推向市场的方案。
According to Maehara, about 25% of Brazil's gross domestic product passes through the company's systems, and more than 70,000 clients use its large-enterprise software. "Recently we launched our AI foundation with the name LYNN," she said. "We are prepared to use this foundation to enable our clients to prepare agents or use our agents and AI using their data connected to their system to bring advantage to [their] business."
TOTVS describes LYNN as a technology layer that brings together assets and capabilities for developing AI agents aimed at solving real business demands rather than generic AI. Maehara said general AI is increasingly commoditized, and that value comes from applying it to a specific use case with proprietary data that can improve operations or generate revenue.
The company now plans to carry that approach past its software portfolio. "We have another offering going to the market right now," she said. "It's infrastructure as a service. It's a new offering that we can deliver to our clients — not just in the products that TOTVS used to provide, but also in all of our clients' environments inside the same infrastructure — to provide performance, security and scalability."
Dell Technologies Inc. and TOTVS are testing new technologies, evaluating the most suitable products and exploring how they could bring a solution to market together, according to Maehara. The work moves TOTVS into infrastructure decisions beyond its traditional software domain. Diego Puerta, Brasil general manager at Dell, said Dell's AI solutions span compute, storage and networking, providing technical breadth as the service takes shape.
Puerta described the early stage of the collaboration as difficult. "At the beginning, it was not an easy conversation," he said. "It was a very challenging one — less supply, more costs and everything else. But we work together in order to make sure that [they're] going to have the supply, and most important, our teamwork, then to go into the very last details to understand if we have the right products, the right offering."
Maehara and Puerta spoke with theCUBE Research's John Furrier during theCUBE + NYSE Wired: AI Factories – Data Centers of the Future interview series. Dell's approach with TOTVS mirrors its work with other Brazilian customers, starting from business priorities before determining the infrastructure needed to scale artificial intelligence, according to Puerta.
