TP-Link's Archer BE230 Wi-Fi 7 router is on sale at Amazon for $80, down from $120. TechRadar's four-star review calls it amazing value, offering BE3600 speeds and 2.5Gbps ports, though it lacks 6GHz support.
According to TechRadar, the dual-band router earned a four-star rating in its review, with reviewer Mark calling it "amazing value for money." It offers BE3600-class Wi-Fi 7 speeds, two 2.5Gbps LAN ports and three 1Gbps ports, along with a 2.0GHz quad-core processor, four external antennas, VPN support, EasyMesh compatibility and TP-Link's HomeShield security features.
The main compromise is the absence of the 6GHz band, which means the router cannot reach the fastest possible Wi-Fi 7 speeds. TechRadar notes that for most single-office setups, this is a reasonable trade-off because the router still delivers Wi-Fi 7's efficiency and interference-handling improvements. The two 2.5Gbps ports, in particular, are practical for home offices with internet plans faster than 1Gbps, allowing wired connections to a desktop or NAS without bottleneck.
According to TechRadar's price trackers, this is the lowest price for the Archer BE230 since November 2025, and the router has mostly sold between $80 and $87 in recent weeks, so the discount is at the low end of its typical range.
TechRadar recommends the router for users whose internet plan exceeds 1Gbps, those who want Wi-Fi 7 gains without paying flagship prices, or those needing multiple 2.5Gbps wired ports. It suggests skipping the model if you specifically need 6GHz support, have a large home that requires mesh coverage out of the box, or have a plan well under 1Gbps. The router's coverage is intended for a single unit, though EasyMesh support allows adding nodes later.
