TP-Link Archer BE670 Wi-Fi 7 Router Cut to $249.99 on Amazon
TP-Link's tri-band Archer BE670 Wi-Fi 7 router with a 10Gbps port is selling on Amazon for $249.99, $50 below list, per TechRadar. It has not been independently tested by the outlet.
The BE670 is a BE12000 tri-band model rated at up to 5,765 Mbps on the 6GHz band, 5,765 Mbps on 5GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4GHz. It supports 320MHz channels and Multi-Link Operation, which allows compatible phones and laptops to use more than one band at once. TechRadar notes that devices need Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 support to take advantage of the fastest speeds.
On the wired side, the router carries one 10Gbps WAN/LAN port, one 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN port, three 1Gbps LAN ports and a USB 3.0 port, alongside EasyMesh support and HomeShield security. TP-Link says six antennas cover up to 2,600 square feet and up to 128 devices. Amazon sells and ships the unit, according to the report.
TechRadar describes the port arrangement as the main draw at this price, since the 10Gbps and 2.5Gbps ports are intended to keep pace with multi-gigabit fiber plans and fast wired devices. The report places the router mainly with households on multi-gig or fiber connections, home offices and buyers with a large number of wired devices.
The publication also states a condition for buyers: it has not tested the BE670 itself, and the listing has drawn only 125 Amazon ratings so far. It adds that users with a plain gigabit plan and only a handful of devices may find cheaper Wi-Fi 7 routers sufficient.
Price histories cited in the report differ. CamelCamelCamel shows $249.99 as close to the lowest price for a new unit since March, while Keepa indicates the router fell to $230 in June. TechRadar's assessment is that the current figure is roughly what it would expect to pay outside a major sales event such as Prime Day or Black Friday.
Editor's Summary
TP-Link's Archer BE670, a BE12000 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with a 10Gbps WAN/LAN port, one 2.5Gbps port, three 1Gbps LAN ports and a USB 3.0 port, is listed at $249.99 on Amazon after a $50 discount from its $299.99 list price. Price-tracking data cited by TechRadar diverges on how close that is to recent lows, with CamelCamelCamel pointing to early March and Keepa to a $230 dip in June. The router has not been tested by the outlet and carries 125 Amazon ratings, so buyers on multi-gig or fiber plans are the intended audience.
