TRAE Merges TraeWork and TraeCode Into a Single Full-Link Development Platform

TRAE has combined its TraeWork and TraeCode products into one entry point with switchable Agent and IDE modes, folding automation tasks, templates, an assistant and artifact management into a workflow that runs on desktop, web and mobile.

The two products previously served different purposes. TraeWork leaned toward office work, task handling and content generation, while TraeCode focused on the coding needs of professional developers. After the merge, the new TRAE carries continuous tasks through a single entry and supports switching between Agent mode and IDE mode, covering scenarios that run from task advancement to in-depth coding.

Agent mode is built for taking an idea apart and delivering a result. Beginners can build a demo step by step, and professional developers can dispatch multiple agents in parallel across projects. IDE mode keeps the full intelligent development environment, intended for deep code editing and fine-grained debugging within a single project.

Four functional modules now sit inside the same workflow. Automation tasks hand recurring processes, such as periodically organizing progress, running fixed checks, summarizing test results and generating reports, to agents for continuous execution. A template library provides quick starts for high-frequency scenarios including product plans, page building, data analysis and technical documents. My Assistant connects non-coding work such as documents, reporting and collaboration into the same task chain. Code changes, HTML, PPT and Word documents, images, videos and reports are collected as "project artifacts" under centralized management, so that each AI collaboration can be reviewed, presented and iterated on.

The new TRAE runs on desktop, web and mobile. Users can start a task on a computer, check progress and add requirements on a phone, then return to the desktop for deeper development. Projects, tasks and artifacts continue along the same workflow without being interrupted when devices change.

The upgrade covers requirement breakdown, solution generation and artifact delivery, with the automation, template, assistant and artifact modules working alongside the Agent and IDE modes as one chain from task initiation through process advancement to stored results.
