Tripsy 3.9, 1Password, Good Air 2.0, and Parallels Desktop 27 Receive Major Updates

Tripsy 3.9, 1Password, Good Air 2.0, and Parallels Desktop 27 receive major updates.

Tripsy 3.9 focuses on intelligent route planning and transportation analysis. The new Smart Routes feature automatically analyzes two consecutive activities, calculates the distance and travel time, and recommends a route to connect them. The Arrival Buffer feature helps users plan for events that require early arrival, such as a flight, by setting a departure time and reserving, for example, two hours for airport procedures. If the schedule is too tight, a Tight Timing alert appears at the top of the recommended route. The All Routes Auto-Plan feature can generate an entire trip itinerary by analyzing a series of places and their order, calculating travel times and arrival times, and previewing the route on a map. Users can also save frequently used places like home, office, and airport to speed up planning. Tripsy can be downloaded for free; a subscription for professional features costs 38 yuan per month, 198 yuan per year, or 998 yuan for a lifetime purchase, and it is also included in Setapp.

1Password has introduced several improvements to its password-filling experience. The new Universal sign-in consolidates username and password filling, Passkey, two-factor codes, social login, OIDC, and SAML into a single confirmation click. When a user opens a login page, 1Password automatically displays a matching account in a floating window, and clicking confirm completes the entire login process. In some cases, the app can even skip the confirmation if the user clicks "Open and Fill" from the app or browser extension. On macOS, a new global autofill feature lets users fill credentials in any application by pressing Command+\, after granting permission in system settings. The iOS version now supports system-level password generation and saving in Safari. According to the report, the new experience is smoother and more convenient than the system's native password manager. New users can try 1Password for 14 days free, after which it costs 38 yuan per month or 328 yuan per year.

Good Air 2.0 is designed to tell users directly "how is the weather" and "what is suitable to do," using natural language summaries instead of data-heavy displays. The main screen shows AQI, temperature, and weather conditions in a small area, while the core content is plain-language advice that updates in real time. For instance, it might suggest going for a walk when air quality is good, recommend a coffee on a rainy afternoon, or remind users that Thursday is the only sunny day this week and they should plan outdoor activities. The app does not use interactive AI, so its personalized information is limited, and some messages can be verbose. However, detailed data such as PM2.5, PM10, O3, and NO2 concentrations, as well as hourly and seven-day forecasts, remain available via a button. The 2.0 version adds animated weather simulations and retains the AQI map and air quality rankings. Good Air is free to download but currently supports English only.

Parallels Desktop 27 was released in August 2026 and fully supports macOS 27. Users upgrading from macOS 26 to macOS 27 do not need to reinstall Parallels Desktop or rebuild their virtual machines. The new version no longer supports Intel Macs; the minimum requirement is a MacBook Neo with an A18 Pro chip. Users with Intel Macs can continue using Parallels Desktop 26. The update improves OpenGL graphics performance in the Pro edition, benefiting professional applications such as GIS, CAD, engineering, and scientific computing. Fusion mode remains supported, allowing Windows applications to run alongside macOS applications directly from the Dock.
