Ugreen launches local-AI smart home hubs with privacy-first design, top model at $20,000

The two HomeAgent models are based on ARM architectures. The baseline HA100 runs on an RK3588 platform with 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and a combined 26 TOPS of AI performance. The HA100 Pro uses a CIX-CP8180(P1) SoC with 32GB of RAM and delivers 205 TOPS. The HA100 will retail for $1,799, with an early bird price of $899, while the HA100 Pro costs $5,999, or $2,999 with early bird pricing, as reported by Engadget.

The top-tier MasterAgent MA100 is built on Nvidia's Jetson Thor platform, a Blackwell system-on-module with 128GB of unified memory and up to 2,070 TOPS of AI performance. Engadget reported that the hub will retail at $20,000, with a 50 percent discount for early buyers. Android Authority noted that the hubs combine network storage, video recording, and local AI processing, meaning voice commands are handled by the hub itself rather than external services.

Ugreen's HomeAgent hubs support rule-based automation, object recognition, and home control through device commands. The HA100 Pro adds motion understanding, behavioral intent inference, and natural-language voice rule creation. Engadget quoted Ugreen NAS community manager Thomas Brown as saying at a launch panel that savings from avoiding cloud inference token costs and cloud storage fees could make the hubs attractive despite their upfront price. Brown's remark came as part of a discussion about the high cost of hardware-based privacy.

The hubs are compatible with ONVIF and Matter devices, and product planning manager Markus Xie said Zigbee and Thread support is planned, according to Engadget. The same report said there is no official Home Assistant support, a contrast to Anker's AI hub announced the same day, which supports Home Assistant and Apple HomeKit. The hubs also include bays for SATA hard drives, M.2 and SD card slots, HDMI, Ethernet, and multiple network ports, allowing users to add NAS-style storage.

Ugreen also introduced SynCare-branded security cameras, including the Indoor Cam ID500 Pro, PoE Cam OD600 Pro, and Battery Cam OD800 Pro. Engadget described these as final versions of prototypes shown at CES earlier in 2026. The cameras emphasize facial recognition and package detection processed locally. Xie told Engadget that remote access uses end-to-end encryption and local data is protected with AES-256 encryption.

At the launch event, only a single working HomeAgent model was demonstrated. Attendees could control smart curtains and lights through the hub, but more complex promised features such as voice-based rule creation were not shown, Engadget reported.
