UGREEN's 25W MagSafe battery adds liquid cooling, a USB-C cable and display; it costs $149 and is on sale for $95.
According to 9to5Mac, the battery has a window on its back that shows liquid moving inside the unit. UGREEN says this keeps the battery around 18 degrees cooler than usual, though the review said it remains warm in the hand and is not a cold battery bank.
The battery includes a built-in USB-C cable at the bottom for charging a phone or other USB-C devices, which 9to5Mac found useful because wireless charging is less energy efficient than wired charging. A small display on the side shows battery percentage and charging speed.
The review said the battery bank is somewhat thick and lacks a kickstand, which it called bothersome at this price point when many competing products include one. It said buyers concerned about heat from MagSafe battery banks would find the liquid cooling addresses that issue.
9to5Mac also said that, based on case dimensions it tested, the battery will stick out from the bottom of an iPhone Duo. It said this is true for most MagSafe accessories on the iPhone Duo.
UGREEN's MagFlow battery bank costs $149. The review described that as pricey for a MagSafe battery of any kind, but said the $95 Amazon sale price makes it more appealing for buyers who want a MagSafe battery that does not get as hot as competitors.
