UGreen unveils local-storage smart-home AI hub HomeAgent at IFA 2026
UGreen introduced a new smart-home AI suite at IFA 2026, with HomeAgent hubs processing data locally and AI assistant Uliya, aiming to capture family memories as well as security.
TechRadar reported that UGreen CEO Samuel Zhang introduced the new technology by telling a personal story: after a family barbecue, he wanted to look back at photos but found none had been taken. He said a home camera should see more than just danger and should also witness the joys of everyday family life. That idea inspired the new suite.
The HomeAgent is described as an “agentic AI local hub” that brings local storage, computing and control into a single device. Through the hub, users can connect UGreen AIoT devices, including cameras, smart speakers and digital photo frames, plus some select third-party products. Because processing happens locally, users do not need cloud subscriptions, and the company believes this will appeal to privacy-conscious customers concerned about data breaches.
UGreen announced three HomeAgent models. The basic HA100 costs $1,799 and delivers 26 TOPS of AI performance with a 2.5GbE LAN port. The HA100 Pro costs $5,999 and boosts performance to 205 TOPS, adds a 10GbE LAN port and has a more advanced CPU. The top-end MA100 is powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 and costs $19,999, with considerably more memory and storage. Early bird offers are available for roughly half price across the board, and shipping is scheduled to begin in early 2027.
TechRadar’s reporter tried a live demonstration at IFA. In one demo, a UGreen smart security camera issued an audible warning when the reporter walked past a certain point toward a door, explaining that he was on private property. The data was processed locally through the HomeAgent. A connected smart speaker, which runs an AI assistant named Uliya, could answer questions about unusual activity, such as whether a delivery worker or someone else approached the door. Uliya can also control curtains, play music, locate a pet and cast a live video feed, summarize captured events from the day, display memories on a UGreen smart photo frame in real time, or show highlights from a special day.
The system also supports an “Away mode”: when a user leaves the house, lights switch off, curtains close and a robovac starts working. TechRadar described the HomeAgents as capable, feature-rich and innovative, with local data handling that could be a game changer for some households.
