Ukrainian FPV drone simulator Remote Reaper reaches Steam 1.0

Remote Reaper, a Ukrainian FPV drone simulator, reaches Steam 1.0 with electronic warfare, weak spots and missions.

The simulator models electronic warfare systems that interfere with video transmission and control signals and can disrupt communication at critical moments. Terrain and physical obstacles can also weaken connections between operators and their aircraft, and different interference patterns affect control and video channels, according to the report. Players must work around disruptions rather than rely on uninterrupted transmission.

Armored vehicles have different protection levels, including additional screens, and vulnerable areas determine whether simulated impacts cause decisive damage or fail to disable a target. The game also includes infantry positions and airborne threats, requiring players to choose different approaches based on the scenario and available equipment.

In the aircraft editor, users can work with 7-inch and 10-inch frames and configure motors, propellers, cameras, antennas and other components. Payload options include shaped charges, high explosive fragmentation and explosively formed penetrators, while coaxial motor arrangements offer another configuration. These choices affect aircraft weight, thrust and endurance, so users must consider flight characteristics when assembling a virtual setup. Weather conditions include rain, fog and wind, and changing daylight affects visibility.

Version 1.0 adds racing activities across three courses and additional combat scenarios involving airborne threats and ground targets. A built-in mission editor lets players place targets, configure enemy defenses and adjust electronic warfare conditions. Online collaborative play allows several participants to join missions, coordinate activities and enter sessions already underway.

The game supports controllers including RadioMaster, DJI FPV, TBS and BetaFPV equipment, as well as Xbox and PlayStation gamepads. A realistic control mode uses the game's flight physics with radio controllers or gamepads, while a simplified option supports keyboard and mouse, maintains aircraft altitude automatically and includes a speed boost. The game requires Windows 11, 16GB of memory, a six-core 2.4GHz processor and an NVIDIA GTX 2060 graphics card. Recommended specifications are 32GB of memory, an NVIDIA RTX 3060 GPU and either an Intel Core i7 6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor. Both configurations require 10GB of storage and DirectX 12; the recommended setup also specifies broadband internet access.
