Urevo Spacewalk E1L Walking Pad Discounted to $129.99 at Best Buy

TechRadar described the E1L as portable and equipped with five layers of shock absorbers in the belt. It supports up to 265 pounds of user weight, comes with a remote control to manage speed, and has an LED display at the head of the treadmill. The report said the machine requires no fuss or frills and is usable right out of the box.

TechRadar said it has not reviewed the E1L itself, but it has reviewed the Urevo Spacewalk E4w, a sibling treadmill that reached the top of its best under-desk treadmills buying guide. Because the E4w has similar weight, top speed and power, TechRadar said it felt comfortable recommending the E1L with the discount applied.

For shoppers outside the United States, TechRadar also pointed to a UK deal from Amazon on another Urevo treadmill, the 2-in-1. The deal saves £40, and the machine has a similar 2.5HP motor and profile as the treadmill above, according to the report. The main difference cited is its incline capability, which can go up to 9 percent to simulate more challenging hill walks.

TechRadar said under-desk treadmills and walking pads are slimmer and cheaper than normal treadmills and can slide under a sofa or bed when not in use. They are not fast because they lack guardrails, but they are suitable for walking while watching TV or working alongside a standing desk, the publication said. Having low-impact cardio equipment at home can make it easier to hit step goals and keep moving during winter, according to TechRadar.

The publication cited research finding that for people unable to tolerate moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, lower-intensity walking was still beneficial for improving health. It added that walking on a treadmill while streaming a show may help people who dislike running or cycling to exercise.
