vivo X Fold 6 Goes Global With 6,900mAh Battery, 200MP Camera and External Lens

vivo has launched the X Fold 6 globally in several European markets, offering a 6,900mAh battery, a 200MP main camera and a 200mm telephoto extender lens.

The global version of the X Fold 6 appears to carry the same specifications and design as the Chinese model, but it runs Origin OS 7, a newer version of vivo's software based on Android 17. vivo claims the system delivers quicker app launches, faster animations and smoother multitasking, with support for up to four apps in a multiwindow setup at once. Android Authority reported that only one memory and storage configuration is listed globally: 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The camera system includes a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide-angle camera and a 50MP telephoto camera. Like other vivo X series phones, the X Fold 6 uses Zeiss color science and offers a set of filters. The phone also supports vivo's second-generation 200mm telephoto extender lens, which expands optical zoom by a factor of 2.35x. The extender and a special back case to mount it cost €299, or about $340, according to the report. Android Authority reported that vivo is including a Watch GT 2 and an Apple Watch lookalike as part of the offer.

Inside, the X Fold 6 is powered by a Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, a custom version of MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 built in partnership with vivo. The custom chip is claimed to offer better thermal efficiency and better NPU performance than the standard version. It is paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The foldable uses an 8.02-inch folding display from Samsung and a 6.51-inch cover screen. Both are LTPO AMOLED panels with a variable refresh rate of 1–120Hz. Android Authority reported that the screens have a claimed peak brightness of 5,000 nits, which the report says surpasses the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra's displays by a large margin.

The global X Fold 6 packs a 6,900mAh battery, slightly smaller than the Chinese variant. It supports 80W fast wired charging and 40W fast wireless charging, and the charging brick is included in the box. Despite the battery size, the phone measures 4.8mm when unfolded and weighs 228 grams.

The phone is now listed for sale across various European markets. Android Authority reported, based on leaks, that vivo also plans to expand the X Fold 6 beyond Europe, with an India launch rumored for next week.
