Walmart opens $59.88 preorders for Ocarina of Time remake on Switch 2

Walmart is taking preorders for the physical Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at $59.88, $10 below its physical price elsewhere. The game releases November 5, 2026.

The remake was announced during Nintendo's September livestream, where Nintendo unveiled a range of new titles and the remastered Ocarina of Time drew some of the most attention, The Verge reported. The physical copy has a sparkly cover, according to the publication.

The Verge reported that the remaster has been completely overhauled graphically, with updated shadows, details and physics comparable to a modern title. It also adds quality-of-life changes, including a free camera that lets players inspect the revamped environments more closely and a mechanic called Threads of Time that helps players find their next objective.

The remake also gives Link a dedicated jump button, The Verge reported. In the original game, there was no way to make Link jump manually; he would only leap automatically when running off a ledge.

The Verge's where-to-buy listing showed the physical edition at $69.99 before the Walmart preorder discount, while the $59.88 Walmart price matches the digital version.

The Verge also listed other discounts: the Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite wired gaming mouse at $49.99 on Amazon, $40 below list price; the JBL Live Beam 3 earbuds at $129.99 at Amazon and Walmart, $80 off; and the Olight Sphere C tabletop lamp at $12.59 on Amazon. The JBL earbuds include a 1.45-inch touchscreen charging case, active noise cancellation; the Olight lamp has a magnetic base, more than 20 lighting modes and up to 40 hours of battery life; the Corsair mouse has a 12-button side grid that slides to fit different hand sizes.
