watchOS 27 Adds Three New Apps to Apple Watch
Apple's watchOS 27 adds Siri, Find My, and Readiness apps to Apple Watch, per 9to5Mac.
The new Siri app accompanies a broader AI overhaul in watchOS 27. Siri remains available through the Digital Crown, but the app offers another place to start a conversation. It also lets users browse past conversations. Because Siri AI is more conversational than the previous assistant and keeps a record of past queries across devices, the watchOS 27 Siri app shows conversations from Apple Watch, iPhone, Mac, and other devices. The app is available across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple Watch.
Find My has also been reworked. In watchOS 26, Find My was split into three separate apps: Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People. In watchOS 27, Apple streamlined those features into a unified Find My app. The watch version offers all functionality of the previous three apps in a condensed, map-centric experience. Users can switch between categories through a menu in the top-left corner, while the rest of the interface remains consistent, according to 9to5Mac.
A third app, Readiness, is available only if users own an Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4. The App Store description cited by 9to5Mac says Readiness analyzes recent activity, vitals, and sleep to help users understand their capacity to take on the day. It provides a score and a classification: Recover, Pace Yourself, Ready, or Go For It. Users can see explanations of relevant factors, tap through to associated apps, add complications and Smart Stack widgets, and view additional details in the Fitness app on iPhone. Readiness is designed to give a quick glimpse into overall vitals so users know how rested and ready their body may be on a given day.
The three apps mark the main app-level additions in watchOS 27. Siri and Find My are available across compatible Apple Watch models, while Readiness depends on Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4 hardware. 9to5Mac reported the new apps as part of its coverage of watchOS 27's features.
Editor's Summary
Apple's watchOS 27 adds a new Siri app for browsing cross-device conversations, a unified Find My app that combines Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People, and a Readiness app limited to Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. The Readiness app uses activity, vitals, and sleep data to assign a daily readiness score and classification. The changes show Apple continuing to refine core watch apps around AI, location tracking, and health insights.
