Wavlink triple-monitor USB-C dock cut to $119.99 at Newegg
Wavlink's triple-monitor USB-C docking station is on sale at Newegg for $119.99, down from $159.99, with three display outputs, six 10Gbps USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet and up to 100W laptop charging.
The Wavlink Triple Monitor Docking Station connects to laptops over USB-C and is also compatible with Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 machines. It carries three HDMI and two DisplayPort outputs. The HDMI Alt Mode output supports up to 4K at 60Hz, while the other display outputs support resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 at 60Hz, TechRadar said.
For peripherals, the dock provides six USB ports running at 10Gbps, along with Gigabit Ethernet and audio. A bundled 130W power adapter can deliver up to 100W of power delivery to a compatible laptop, allowing the dock to charge the machine it is connected to. The adapter and a USB-C cable are included in the box, so buyers do not need to budget for a separate power supply to use the charging function.
DisplayLink support lets compatible Macs extend their desktops across multiple external monitors even where native display support is more restrictive, and it also works with Windows systems, according to the report.
TechRadar recommended the dock for remote workers and office professionals who work from a laptop and want a more capable setup without constantly connecting and disconnecting peripherals. The six 10Gbps USB ports were described as providing ample high-speed connections for external SSDs and other accessories.
The publication advised against buying the dock for users who need only a couple of extra USB ports or a single external monitor, saying a simpler USB-C hub would do the job for considerably less money.
