WiiM Sound smart speaker gets rare 15% discount

WiiM’s Sound smart speaker gets a rare 15% discount, dropping to $254.15. The Sound Lite is discounted too.

The Sound is positioned as an alternative to speakers from Apple, Google, Sonos and Amazon, with support for more than 20 music services. It offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and ethernet for connectivity, and it is compatible with Chromecast, Spotify Connect, DLNA, Alexa Cast and other standards. It does not support AirPlay 2, though WiiM’s Pro Music Streamer does. The speaker can be added to existing multi-room setups in the Google Home or Amazon Echo ecosystems.

WiiM is also discounting the Sound Lite by 15 percent, from $229 to $194.65 at Amazon and WiiM. The Lite has the same dimensions, connectivity and performance output as the Sound and can use AI to adapt its sound quality to the room, but it lacks the 1.8-inch touch display and the voice remote, which costs around $33 separately. Recent WiiM products, including these speakers, can be paired wirelessly to build a surround sound setup.

The Verge also highlighted other deals. Apple’s AirPods Max 2 over-ear, noise-canceling headphones are down to $429 at Best Buy as part of the retailer’s 60-year anniversary sale, from $549. The article notes that this is their second-best price, with the best being $399 during Prime Day.

A 58-inch Hisense 4K QLED Roku TV, model QD5, is $189.99 at Best Buy, down from $399.99. The TV has built-in Roku, Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG support, and a game mode with variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode, although it tops out at 60Hz.

The Godox ES45 key light is back on sale at Amazon for $119, down $20 from its regular price. The light has adjustable color temperature and brightness, with a controller that recharges magnetically.
