XGIMI Aura 3 Max and Pro Get US Pricing Ahead of October 20 Kickstarter
XGIMI has opened US reservations for the Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro before an October 20 Kickstarter launch. Early backer prices start at $2,399 and $2,199, with a refundable $50 deposit cutting $200 more; shipping is expected in December.
A refundable $50 deposit placed through XGIMI reduces both prices by another $200, the report said, bringing the Super Early Bird prices to $2,199 for the Max and $1,999 for the Pro. XGIMI lists eventual MSRPs of $4,999 for the Max and $3,999 for the Pro.
Shipping is expected to begin in December. The Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro are listed with Google TV, 4K/120Hz gaming and ultra-short-throw projection among their headline features.
The pricing announcement comes about a month after XGIMI used IFA to show the Aura 3 series, demonstrating how advanced a living-room projector can be. At full retail, the projectors sit in luxury-TV territory, while early buyers can pay significantly less through the Kickstarter and deposit offers.
