Xiaomi Launches Free Repair Services in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai After Typhoon
Xiaomi announced free testing and repair services for typhoon-affected products in parts of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, marking its third major disaster-relief service initiative this year.
The services cover Xiaomi and Redmi phones, tablets, laptops, wristbands, watches, earphones, and smart home appliances. The offerings include free testing, cleaning, and repair for water damage caused by the typhoon. Users can make appointments through the Xiaomi Service mini-program, hotline 950816, or offline stores. The service area includes eight cities in Jiangsu (Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Nantong, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, and Taizhou), all of Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The application deadline is Aug. 23.
This is the third time this year that Xiaomi Service has launched large-scale disaster-relief repair services. Previously, it offered similar free repair services in May following heavy rains in Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei, and in July after flooding in Guangxi. Xiaomi Service said it promptly activated free testing and repair, covering the full range from mobile phones to home appliances, with service areas precisely defined down to cities and counties, fulfilling its commitment to "sincere support."
