Xiaomi shows SU7, SU7 Ultra and Gran Turismo hypercar concept at IFA 2026, plans 2027 Europe EV entry

TechRadar said the concept's exterior was designed for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, with every element shaped to reduce resistance. Inside the teardrop-shaped cabin, Xiaomi used bucket seats instead of a stripped-out race cockpit. A Xiaomi representative told TechRadar that the aim was to recreate the feeling of playing a racing simulator from a sofa. The vehicle is a "virtual concept car" and is not intended for real-world driving; it is part of a showcase project in which brands design their own Gran Turismo hypercars. Press material describes it as an exploration of "possibilities free from the constraints of the physical world."

The report also described Xiaomi's real-world models. The SU7 and the high-performance flagship SU7 Ultra share what the company calls "an elegant, sporty design language." According to TechRadar, the production version of the SU7 Ultra holds the official record in the Electric Executive Car category at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Both cars are connected to Xiaomi's wider smart ecosystem, designed to coordinate with owners' phones and home appliances under the "Human × Car × Home" vision.

Xiaomi Auto has sold vehicles on the Chinese mainland since 2024. The company said it was making a "planned entry into European markets, including Germany, in 2027," but could not confirm whether the United Kingdom was part of those plans, TechRadar reported.
