Xtream Player Update Adds Plex Live TV and YouTube Playback Fixes

Xtream Player v1.7.50 adds Plex Live TV, M3U fixes and YouTube quality controls for Android Auto.

The update affects both free and premium users. The FS XtreamPlayer Mirror can now fill the entire car screen, scaling the phone display on the infotainment system. The app’s TV add-on can also play M3U channels that require their own user agent, and live M3U channels now load from a valid start time, according to Android Authority.

For premium users, version 1.7.50 introduces Plex Live TV support, allowing live channels from Plex to be streamed in the car. It also adds proper categorization for movies and TV shows. However, comments on the Reddit post said Plex Live TV support is currently broken. The developer said a fix will roll out soon.

Premium users also gain support for playing YouTube videos at the highest available quality, along with other YouTube-specific updates. Users can choose whether YouTube videos go full-screen automatically or play in-page. They can also switch between the YouTube mobile and desktop sites.

The update fixes a bug that caused the FS Player’s ad-skip feature to leave videos stuck on a grayed-out play icon. According to Android Authority, the release brings several quality-of-life enhancements for free and premium users alike.
