YouTube says it fixed blank spaces and missing thumbnails in mobile feeds on Android and iOS.

YouTube had acknowledged that some Android and iOS users were seeing missing video thumbnails and large blank spaces while scrolling through those feeds. In some cases, videos, Shorts, and posts were replaced with black gaps or gray placeholder boxes, even though the app’s navigation bars and icons continued to load normally.

The company now says the issue has been resolved. If users still see blank gaps, YouTube recommends force-quitting and restarting the app, according to Android Authority.

The blank-feed problem came after other recent mobile issues for YouTube. Just last week, some Galaxy phone owners reported videos freezing after switching away from the app and returning. Over the weekend, another problem began causing parts of YouTube’s mobile feeds to look as if content had not loaded.

Android Authority reported that YouTube had a rough few days on mobile but said the blank-feed issue has now been fixed. The report said YouTube acknowledged the missing thumbnails and blank spaces before resolving them.
