The project was demonstrated by YouTuber Chalid Raqami, who spent significant time optimizing Android 13 for the tablet's unusual hardware. The Android environment supports Kindle, browsers, audiobooks, productivity apps, Bluetooth keyboards, Wi-Fi, USB, and GPU acceleration. Standby battery drain is also improved compared to the initial installation.

The port is not publicly available yet. It requires enabling Developer Mode, and the creator is still working on making installation and recovery safer before wider testing. The reMarkable Paper Pro is a digital paper tablet primarily designed for writing, reading, sketching, and organizing notes, and its simplicity is a large part of its appeal.
