Yuandian Xiaoqiao Humanoid Sells Out First 1,000 Units, Wins IFA 2026 Innovation Award

IFA describes the award as recognizing breakthrough innovations, prototypes and early-stage technologies that show the direction of future consumer technology, Lei Feng News reported. The award placed Xiaoqiao among products singled out at the German trade show, while its first sales run gave Yuandian a market test in China.

Another use case came from Bilibili. Turing’s Cat, a top creator on the platform, used the Xiaoqiao robot to recreate the “Han Li puppet” from A Record of a Mortal’s Journey to Immortality. The video reached Bilibili’s trending list, and the official account of the series responded in the comments. Yuandian has delivered the robot to some media and creators for hands-on testing.

Xiaoqiao is 88 cm tall, weighs about 13 kg and uses joint modules with up to 50 N·m of torque, allowing standing, walking, jogging, dancing and backflips, according to the report. Yuandian describes it as the world’s first AI-native embodied body. The company says the body design and control strategy are optimized in the same loop from the start, rather than fitting a large model onto a conventional robot. It supports VR, motion capture and joystick teleoperation and can be used for skill development and real-machine deployment.

Yuandian also introduced OpenBridge, which it calls the industry’s first fully open-source ecosystem for embodied intelligence developers. It includes unified development tools, shared training resources and a Skill Hub where developers can package models, data and action chains as standardized skills to upload, download, deploy and iterate. Some media compared the approach to an “Android moment” for humanoid robots. Yuandian said, “The world does not lack high walls; we choose to build bridges.”

Xiaoqiao is not Yuandian’s first home robot. Yuandian Robotics is a home-scenario embodied intelligence brand under Lexiang Technology, with the idea of moving “from tool to symbiosis.” Before Xiaoqiao, it launched M1, W1 and Jupiter. M1 is described as the world’s first self-recharging humanoid robot designed for homes, covering elder safety, child companionship, pet care and daily assistance, and the first mass-producible humanoid robot connected to OpenClaw. W1 uses a different mobility form for autonomous movement, complex terrain, home security monitoring and outdoor companionship, with capabilities on grass, gravel and slopes; its China version has an exclusive Disney IP license and brings the WALL-E robot to life. Jupiter, released in July, is a full-size humanoid 165 cm tall and 55 kg, with human-like walking, teleoperation, human-robot interaction and autonomous navigation, intended to enter homes as a long-term companion.

Lei Feng News reported that Yuandian’s cumulative orders exceeded 30,000 units in the first half of this year, forming a commercial chain from technology research and product definition to sales and mass production. Its technology system covers structural innovation, embodied models, drive modules, self-developed robotic arms and bionic cognitive models, which can be transferred and reused across different robot bodies.

Yuandian’s product strategy is to validate different forms rather than bet on a single ultimate robot: M1 for home companionship, W1 for complex mobility and home protection, and Xiaoqiao for high-performance small humanoids and the developer market. The report said home robots face requirements including acceptable price, small footprint, safety around older people and children, stability around thresholds, furniture, pets and changing environments, and real user demand.

Less than a month after launch, Xiaoqiao has produced two kinds of feedback: fast sales and an IFA award, and users building uses the company did not define in advance. Yuandian is continuing to develop a home-oriented version of Xiaoqiao and to improve navigation, interaction and manipulation for home environments. Feedback from the robot body, developer ecosystem and real user scenarios could feed into later home robot products.
