With the offer, a single SmartCard costs $34, saving $11; a 3-pack costs $77, saving $19; and a 5-pack costs $119, saving $31. The slim cards work with both Apple and Android devices and are designed to track items such as wallets, purses, and pockets. Unlike AirTags, they can be slipped into a wallet without extra accessories, ZDNET noted.

ZDNET expert Matthew Miller said in a review that the battery is projected to last 11 months and recharges wirelessly. "The SmartCard charges up wirelessly, so you can just set it down on your wireless charger to top it off. I like that I can use my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 with reverse wireless charging to power up the card," Miller wrote. He also described a single integrated button on the back for pairing, a plain black credit card look with white labeling, and a loud onboard chime with optional left-behind notifications.

For a different appearance, KeySmart offers the Gen 3 SmartCard in a Ghost configuration, which has a white-grey translucent shell that reveals the internal components. ZDNET said the deal is exclusive to its readers and gave it a 5/5 Editors' Deal rating, noting the cards rarely go on sale. The promotional code expires Aug. 31.
