Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Center Brings 'Embodied AI' to WRC 2026 with 2,000-Unit Apparel Order

At WRC 2026, Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Center showcased humanoid robots handling continuous tasks and announced a 2,000-unit apparel industry order.

At the booth, three robots worked in concert to complete destacking, sorting, and transport tasks on an industrial line. A few steps away, a retail cabin accepted orders and a robot handed out beverages. In the kitchen, a robot cooked a meal from ingredient handling through final cleanup. The display, themed "Hello, World! Embodied Presence, Let Aspirations Happen," showed a clear intention: lengthening the chain of tasks a robot can assume, from an order to delivery, or from prep to cleanup.

The exhibits mirror the industry's larger evolution. In 2024, WRC featured 27 humanoid robot prototypes; in 2025, it announced ten potential application scenarios; this year, production lines, shops, and kitchens are increasingly common inside the venue. Once robots start working, they lose the tolerance granted to performers—a failed demo can be replayed, but in a real process it becomes downtime and efficiency loss. Metrics like success rate, continuous operation, precision, and deployment cycle now decide whether a robot can stay.

Behind the scenes, Zhejiang Humanoid's self-developed SPIRE architecture underpins the robots. SPIRE-WM builds a world model to understand environments and predict interaction outcomes, while the embodied model combines body state and real-time perception for long-horizon planning and execution. Inside the embodied model, the C2L2 "brain" decomposes tasks and corrects deviations, and the M2S2 "cerebellum" integrates vision, force, touch, and joint states to handle grasping, aligning, and placing with precise positioning and force.

The industrial deployment data offers a sharper test. Together with Jack Technology, the company will supply 2,000 humanoid robots for apparel manufacturing. In that context, handling flexible, deformable fabric is particularly difficult; the reported fabric separation success rate is 98%, control precision is within 2 mm, and overall system success stays above 90%. A fully automated pocket-setting operation reaches a cycle time of 35 seconds per piece, aligning with a client capacity of 1,000 pieces per day. In chemical experiments, precision reaches 0.03 mm and liquid dispensing error is kept within 1 mL. NAVIAI humanoid robots have also entered production lines at Beko's European factory for long-term validation.

Retail and kitchen tasks require different strengths. The company's smart retail cabin, named "Naiweidao," emphasizes compactness for easy relocation and customization. Its algorithms enhance voice, expression recognition, and feedback, while a five-finger dexterous hand adapts to various products and tools. A kitchen robot called "Novice Chef NAVIAI" executes a full meal from picking up ingredients and breaking eggs to plating and wiping counters, underscoring endurance over a single photogenic move.

The company also demonstrated teleoperation with sensor gloves, where an operator controlled a WA2 robot to grasp, pinch, and pack cosmetics in different sizes. This indicates that human operators will remain in the loop for precise operations, remote takeover, and data collection as autonomy advances.

To industrialize humanoid robots, Zhejiang Humanoid brought eight supply chain partners to the venue, covering perception, actuation, transmission, and control components. These include Haoen Auto Electric for multi-camera vision, Yuli Instrument for six-axis force sensors, Zhuoyu Technology for joint modules, Kaixuan Intelligent for force-controlled joints, Boyin Harmonic for harmonic reducers, Fuxianda for hollow-cup motors, Lingjing Zhiyuan for N210 controllers, and Jiazhi Technology for embodied controllers. The company is also connecting software, hardware, data, and application partners, and has collaborations with over 50 universities for talent development.
