Zhijie RX Launches From 259,800 Yuan as IM LS6 Debuts From 197,900 Yuan

According to Leiphone, Zhijie RX is offered from 259,800 yuan for the in-cabin LiDAR version and from 319,800 yuan for the version with an L3 autonomous-driving architecture. iFanr reported six trims ranging from 259,800 yuan to 389,800 yuan: Max, Max Long Range, Ultra, Ultra Long Range, Ultra AWD and Ultra+. Max and Ultra standard versions use an 81 kWh battery, while long-range and all-wheel-drive versions use a 100 kWh battery; CLTC range reaches 852 km. The car is 5,020 mm long, 2,007 mm wide and 1,585 mm tall, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase and five seats, according to iFanr.

Leiphone reported that Zhijie RX uses Huawei's Tuling platform and a virtual kingpin four-ball all-aluminum double-wishbone front suspension with a five-link rear suspension. Ultra and above versions have dual-chamber air suspension and dual-valve continuously variable dampers, with the system optional on Max. The car has a front six-piston fixed caliper and FNC ventilated brake discs. The company said it recorded a lap time of 1:43.210 at the Zhejiang International Circuit, which it described as the fastest lap for a Chinese-brand production SUV. The body uses 90.5% high-strength steel and aluminum, a lightweight coefficient of 1.53 and torsional rigidity of 51,040 N·m/deg, with a near 50:50 front-rear weight distribution. Zhijie RX has a 0-100 km/h time of 3.6 seconds, a 100-0 km/h braking distance of 32.4 meters and a steering ratio of 12.9. It also completed a 251 km/h high-speed ring lane-change challenge.

According to Leiphone, the car uses Huawei's 800V high-voltage silicon-carbide powertrain, with a 100 kWh ternary battery option and CLTC range of 852 km; charging from 30% to 80% takes 15 minutes. It debuts Huawei's black box battery technology, which the company says can detect and warn about water immersion or underbody scraping. Leiphone reported that the car passed a four-part test involving water immersion, underbody scraping, pinch collision and nail penetration. iFanr reported that single-motor versions produce 277 kW, while Ultra AWD and Ultra+ add a 160 kW front motor. Former AMG chairman and Aston Martin CEO Tobias Moers served as dynamic performance consultant, iFanr said.

On autonomous driving, Leiphone reported that Zhijie RX has obtained an L3 autonomous-driving road test license and is the only model in HarmonyOS Smart Mobility's 300,000-yuan class with an L3 autonomous-driving architecture. iFanr reported that the Ultra version carries four LiDAR units and 38 fusion sensors, with redundancy in eight areas including dual SoC chips, dual power supplies and two braking control systems. The vehicle was granted its L3 road test license on Sept. 16 and has been tested on public urban expressways, iFanr said. Leiphone reported that the car uses the CAS 5.0 all-direction anti-collision system and has 896-line dual-path image-grade LiDAR plus three high-precision solid-state LiDAR units, with an optional in-cabin LiDAR.

Inside, Leiphone reported that Zhijie RX has a 26-inch HUD, a four-way follow-up central screen, an intelligent wrap-around seat with 98 high-precision sensors and 27 massage and adaptive airbags, a 16-point massage function and active side bolsters. It offers a 622-liter trunk, 32 storage spaces, a dual-door intelligent refrigerator and an electric sunshade. The car received China Automotive Research's first all-domain antibacterial vehicle certificate and CATARC zero-benzene, zero-formaldehyde and allergy-friendly cabin certificates, according to Leiphone. iFanr reported that the physical sunshade is integrated between two layers of panoramic glass, and that Ultra+ has both electronic and physical exterior mirrors. Buyers can receive up to 40,500 yuan in purchase benefits, Leiphone said.

On Sept. 23, IM Motors launched the new-generation LS6, a five-seat family SUV, from 197,900 yuan, according to Leiphone. It is the first family SUV under IM's NEXT·2028 strategy and uses SAIC Group's 70 years of manufacturing experience, the report said. The car makes standard a next-generation full-line-control chassis, a next-generation NEO electric powertrain and what IM calls next-generation all-domain physical AI intelligence. IM said the chassis has aviation-grade triple safety redundancy and SynVector all-domain line-control vector torque coordination with a 20-millisecond response. It has a 4.49-meter turning radius and three adjustable steering ratios.

Leiphone reported that the NEO powertrain consumes 12.7 kWh per 100 km, uses an 800V platform and supports 396 kW fast charging, adding 500 km of range in 15 minutes. It is compatible with more than 90% of charging piles on the market and can charge stably at minus 20 degrees Celsius, with capacity retention of up to 95%, according to Leiphone. A 93 kWh CATL battery gives the LS6 a CLTC range of 782 km. IM says the battery has PPB aviation-grade reliability and a millisecond-level cutoff device. For assisted driving, IM uses Momenta as its founding lighthouse partner, and the IM AD Zeta system applies L4-level model capabilities to L2 functions. The car also debuts a driver-incapacitation assistance system that can autonomously pull over in an emergency, Leiphone reported.

Inside, Leiphone reported that the LS6 has a super first-class cabin with a standard 4D mechanical massage seat for the driver, a front passenger seat with zero-gravity, chaise and forward-folding modes, and a rear backrest with up to 131 degrees of electric adjustment. All seats have ventilation, heating and massage, and the car standardizes a Danish B&O audio system and an 11-liter dual-door refrigerator. IM also introduced the IM Claw Lobster intelligent agent, developed with the open-source Qwen large model. Leiphone said Qwen has more than 300,000 derivative models and that Wired magazine called 2026 Qwen's year. IM said the agent can handle multiple tasks from one voice command and will later connect to Alibaba's AI ecosystem.

The LS6 comes in Max, Pro Max and Ultra versions, with launch benefits starting at 197,900 yuan, Leiphone reported. During the launch period, the first non-commercial owner can receive lifetime free use of IM Claw AI tokens, valued at 308 yuan per year, plus lifetime battery warranty. The first owner also gets a five-year free subscription to the IM AD advanced assisted-driving package, while pre-order users get it free for life, according to Leiphone.

iFanr reported that Zhijie sold 9,237 vehicles in August, with 8,312, or nearly 90%, coming from the V9 MPV. The R7 and S7 sold 801 and 124 units, respectively. Zhao Changjiang said on Sept. 20 that 70% of RX small-order customers were adding a vehicle to their household and were buying RX mainly for driving pleasure, according to iFanr. At the same event, HarmonyOS Smart Mobility launched the refreshed Zhijie R7, priced from 239,800 yuan to 319,800 yuan, with up to 855 km of CLTC range, and opened pre-sales for the Xiangjie V8 seven-seat MPV from 329,800 yuan. Yu Chengdong said AITO would next be led by Seres, with Huawei Terminal participating as an enabler, while Huawei would put more resources into Zunjie, Xiangjie, Zhijie and Shangjie, iFanr reported.

Leiphone reported that Yu Chengdong, Huawei's executive director and chairman of its product investment review committee and terminal BG, said Zhijie RX is the only model in HarmonyOS Smart Mobility's 300,000-yuan class with an L3 autonomous-driving architecture and the best-driving car the alliance has produced. Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery Automobile, said Zhijie's brand 2.0 strategy has achieved breakthroughs in intelligent manufacturing, products and scale, with cumulative deliveries approaching 200,000 units.
