Zumwalt S8 Pro Laptop Screen Extender Falls to $229.98 on Amazon
Zumwalt S8 Pro adds two 14-inch 1080p screens to laptops and is $229.98 on Amazon, 28% below $319.99.
The S8 Pro clips onto compatible 13- to 17.3-inch laptops and adds two 14-inch Full HD screens that fold out on either side. Users can extend the desktop across all three displays or mirror content when needed, according to TechRadar. The product is aimed at people who work across multiple applications, travel with laptops, or want more display space without investing in a permanent multi-monitor setup.
Each additional screen uses a 14-inch IPS LCD panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate and 300-nit brightness. TechRadar reported that the specifications also list 100% sRGB color coverage and 178-degree viewing angles. Zumwalt describes the extender as having an aluminum construction, an ultra-thin profile, adjustable screens that fold away for transport, an integrated kickstand and a protective carrying case.
The current $229.98 price is 28% lower than the $319.99 price. TechRadar reported that the extender has previously sold for $199.99, making the current price $29.99 more than that earlier low.
The product is advertised for Windows, Mac, ChromeOS and other devices, but buyers need a laptop that supports the necessary video outputs. TechRadar noted that some MacBooks have restrictions on how many external displays they can drive. The listed connections include USB-C and HDMI.
TechRadar said the S8 Pro is suited to users who regularly work with several applications at once, need more screen space while traveling, or want to add two displays without carrying separate monitors. It also said buyers should skip the extender if their laptop cannot support the required video outputs, citing restrictions on some MacBook models.
