Apple Shares Two New ‘True Apple Watch Story’ Videos on Health and Fitness

Apple released two new True Apple Watch Story videos: one features Morgan, who credits a high heart rate alert with saving her life from septic shock, and the other features Josh’s fitness journey using Activity Rings.

One video features Josh, a user who weighed about 340 pounds before he began using the Apple Watch’s Activity Rings to improve his fitness. The other features Morgan, who credits the device’s high heart rate notifications with helping save her life after doctors diagnosed her with a kidney infection that had progressed to septic shock.

Apple has long marketed the Apple Watch as a health and fitness device, and the company has increasingly used real-life stories to show how its features can matter in people’s lives. That approach has moved from light-hearted “Dear Apple” event segments, in which people thanked Tim Cook and the company for the watch, to dedicated campaigns focused on real-life experiences. A recent campaign in China, for example, centered on the device’s health and safety features.

The two new videos join other installments in the series, including Connor’s Heart Health Emergency and Amanda’s Rare Cancer Diagnosis. All are available on Apple’s YouTube channel.
