New leak shows Samsung Galaxy H1 over-ear headphones and their controls

A new leak shows the design of Samsung's Galaxy H1 over-ear headphones, pointing to touch controls on the right earcup, physical buttons on the left, and Conversation mode borrowed from the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.

According to Android Authority, the blog SammyGuru reviewed code inside an unspecified APK and found multiple strings and an illustration of the headphones, which shows an over-ear design. The strings found in the code are what point to the control scheme, and the illustration is the first look at the shape of the product in this leak.

The right earcup could carry touch controls along with other actions, while the left earcup may offer physical buttons, according to the report. That split arrangement would place gesture input on one side and hardware buttons on the other.

The Galaxy H1 is also expected to borrow features from the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, Samsung's most recent earbuds, including Conversation mode. That feature automatically switches the headphones into Ambient Sound mode when it detects the wearer speaking.

The Galaxy H1 name has surfaced before. References to the model have been taken as a sign that Samsung intends to re-enter the over-ear audio segment, roughly a decade after it last sold over-ear headphones under the Level branding.

Samsung has not confirmed the product, and the details described in the leak have not been verified by the company. The report did not include a release date, price or launch markets for the headphones.
