Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Earbuds Get First Discount to $149.99
Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds have received their first discount, falling to $149.99 from $169.99, as The Verge also details deals on Ring’s Battery Doorbell Pro, Control Resonant, and a Zelda Switch 2 remake.
The Verge said the Liberty 5 Pro launched with incredible call quality, an area where competing earbuds have struggled, and reviewer John Higgins has kept them in his rotation for more than taking calls. The Verge said the audio is fantastic after users make adjustments in the app, and the earbuds have an IP55 rating and support the LDAC high-res audio codec on Android. They come in black, blue, white, and pink, and include a screen-equipped charging case that can adjust active noise cancellation, sound profiles, speak-to-chat, and Dolby Atmos head tracking. The Verge noted that the case’s usefulness may vary, but it can handle quick tweaks without opening the app.
The Verge also reported that the second-generation Ring Battery Doorbell Pro is discounted at Wellbots to $149.99 with the exclusive code 100VERGERING for Verge readers. The doorbell is currently $249.99 at Amazon, according to the article, and the $149.99 price is below the previous lowest price of $179.99 that The Verge saw at Amazon in late August. The 4K-enabled doorbell has 10x digital zoom, a removable rechargeable battery, and a sleeker design than earlier models.
Remedy’s Control Resonant, the follow-up to Control, launches on Sept. 24. Steam preorders at Newegg are $47.99 with code CNTRLXV, down from the game’s $59.99 debut price, The Verge reported. The Verge said other key sellers have the game for around $50. It is a direct sequel and part of Remedy’s connected universe that includes the Alan Wake titles.
The Verge recently reported that Walmart was discounting preorders for the physical version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2, and that discount now extends to Amazon, which is selling it for $59.99 at checkout. The cartridge version typically costs $10 more than digital, a change Nintendo made earlier this year, but both retailers have a reputation for absorbing the price hike during the preorder phase for Switch 2 titles.
