T-Mobile launches T-Mix plans with swappable subscription perks
T-Mobile unveiled three T-Mix wireless plans starting at $55 a month, bundling service with user-selected perks such as Netflix, YouTube Premium and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The plans are set to be available in November.
The Standard plan costs $55 a month with autopay for one line and includes one Pick, The Verge reported. It offers up to 50GB of premium data, video streaming at 480p, unlimited 3G hotspot connectivity and unlimited 2G data in Canada and Mexico. The mid-tier More plan starts at $75 a month for one line, includes two Picks per line and unlimited data, and adds up to 4K UHD video streaming, up to 60GB of high-speed hotspot data and up to 15GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico. The top Loaded plan starts at $95 a month for one line and provides up to three Picks per line for the first three lines, with the plan capped at 11 perks in total, according to The Verge. It includes the same up to 4K UHD streaming, up to 250GB of high-speed hotspot data and up to 30GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico.
Android Authority reported that T-Mix customers can use Picks for streaming, music, gaming, food delivery, sports, AI, wireless benefits and device promotions, and that they also keep T-Mobile member perks such as T-Mobile Tuesdays, hotel and rental car perks and other premium experiences. The Verge reported that the available perks are tiered by the number of Picks a plan supports. One Pick can cover Apple TV, DashPass by DoorDash, Google AI Plus, Hulu with ads, Netflix Standard with ads, Pandora Plus, Paramount Plus Essential, SiriusXM All Access in app form, YouTube Premium Lite, 500 Delta SkyMiles miles per month or T-Satellite. Two Picks can cover Apple Music Individual, Google AI Pro, Pandora Premium, Xbox Game Pass Premium and YouTube Premium. Three Picks can cover Netflix Standard or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while four Picks can cover ESPN Unlimited or Netflix Premium.
The Verge reported that Standard customers can change their one Pick up to four times a year without changing the plan cost. Android Authority reported that T-Mix users can change benefits every three months, but wireless benefits can be changed at any time. The Verge, citing T-Mobile, said the frequency of changes depends on the benefit chosen: some benefits can be switched at any time, while others hold Picks for a quarter or longer, and some services will charge if a customer switches outside the change window. T-Mobile also offers an annual selection period in which customers can reset all of their perks, The Verge reported.
