YouTube TV's NFL Sunday Ticket Offers Free Trial for 2026 Season, With Regional Limits

TechRadar reports that U.S. viewers can use YouTube TV and NFL Sunday Ticket to watch the 2026 NFL season, with a seven-day free trial for new users before paid plans begin. The service is geo-locked to the U.S., while Canada, the U.K. and other markets rely on alternatives such as DAZN, Channel 5 and Sky Sports.

TechRadar reports that new users can sign up for a YouTube TV free trial, typically lasting seven days, which includes access to NFL games and cable channels such as FOX and CBS that also carry sporting events. The free trial can include NFL Sunday Ticket, giving access to more games. After the trial ends, U.S. users must pay to keep YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket. The annual cost is $240, or new users can pay $30 per month for the first eight months. Returning users pay $44.99 per month for the first six months, then $64.99 per month thereafter. YouTube TV's multiview function also lets viewers watch more than one game at a time, according to TechRadar.

For viewers traveling outside their home market, TechRadar says a VPN can make a device appear as if it is back in the user's home country, unlocking usual streaming services. It recommends IPVanish, which is currently discounted by up to 83% at $2.49 per month. TechRadar describes the process as installing the VPN, choosing the desired location in the VPN app—such as a United States server for a U.S. service—and then opening a YouTube TV account to watch NFL coverage.

In the United States, TechRadar says watching NFL on YouTube TV with Sunday Ticket requires signing up for a YouTube TV subscription and adding the Sunday Ticket package. In Canada, NFL Sunday Ticket is still available, but not through YouTube TV; instead, it can be added to a DAZN account.

In the United Kingdom, YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket are locked to the United States, so fans must use other methods, according to TechRadar. Channel 5 and 5Action, along with the 5 streaming platform, show two games every Sunday, plus the Super Bowl, NFL London, Paris, Madrid and Munich games, and Super Bowl LXI, for free. TechRadar says the best UK coverage is through NFL Game Pass on DAZN, which shows almost every regular-season and playoff game plus the Super Bowl. The DAZN Season Pro pass costs £179.99, or £18.99 per month. The two games shown by Channel 5 arrive on DAZN 24 hours later. Sky Sports also offers more than half of all NFL games live across its channels, including Sunday double-headers, primetime matchups, the Thanksgiving game, playoffs and the Super Bowl.

YouTube TV and its NFL Sunday Ticket coverage are geo-locked to the United States, TechRadar reports, so viewers outside the country must find other methods to watch the 2026/27 season. As in the UK, NFL Game Pass is described as the most comprehensive service.
