The Verge reported that the second-generation AirTag is $6 off its $29 list price at both retailers. The tracker uses Apple’s ultra-wideband chip for Precision Finding, which guides users to an item with on-screen arrows, vibrations and sounds; The Verge said the second-generation model can pick up directional cues from up to 50 percent farther than the prior generation and offers greater Bluetooth range. It can be shared with up to five people and, if a suitcase goes missing, its location can be temporarily shared with participating airlines including United and Delta. It runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery designed to last more than a year.
