De'Longhi shrinks all-in-one coffee maker, adds cold-foam frother

De'Longhi released a 20% smaller all-in-one coffee maker with a built-in cold-milk frother, priced at $349.95 in the US.

The new model offers six drip coffee sizes, from a single 8oz mug to a full 12-cup carafe. Users can choose among four brewing styles: classic, bold, cold brew and over ice. According to TechRadar, the machine keeps the adjustable steam wand of its predecessor, with settings for frothing dairy and plant-based milks. A retractable whisk-style frother on the side is new and allows users to prepare cold milk foam for chilled drinks.

De'Longhi has also added an adjustable-height drip tray that can accommodate espresso cups through to travel mugs, along with a front touchscreen display for adjusting brew settings and customizing drinks. The machine has a 15-bar pump and a thermoblock heating system with electronic temperature control for fast heating and consistent brewing temperatures.

TechRadar said availability outside the US is still to be confirmed. The publication said it will test the new all-in-one coffee maker soon and compare it with De'Longhi's other machines and close rivals such as the Ninja Luxe Café Mini and Ninja Prestige DualBrew System.
